Hello Beagle Lovers,

Here is my home recipe ear solution that I described in my "Beagles Life Page" on my site that has worked wonders for me and Isabella!LOL! Before discovering this simple solution I had to pay a small fortune for my vet's brand or other suppliers. In today's economy we all need to save every penny, heck I'm doing more food shopping at the dollar store these days than at my local supermarket (seriously). I have a good friend who's husband is a Veterinarian and she told me this simple ear cleaning formula. I'm going to see if there are some other inside information tips on pet care home remedies that she can pry out of her husband :-) and I will share them with you good people as I find out. Everything  here is pretty self explanatory as told to me, and I've been doing this for years with my first dog, "Caesar" who recently passed, he was a Cocker Spaniel and his ears needed cleaning constantly.  There are four ingredients you will need:

1- (regular)White Vinegar

Powdered Boric Acid

3- Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol - 91%)

(FYI... The Powdered Boric Acid is not readily available in local stores due to it's use of some manufacturing of illegal drugs, however you can find it... >HERE)

You will need a plastic squirt bottle with a long applicator to store the ear solution in with measurement markings on the outside to show fluid levels in ounces, this makes it easier to measure the ingredients as you pour them into the bottle.

Directions for mixing the solution together:

Now you are ready to squirt the solution in to the ears. Be careful not to get the solution on your hands or carpet/furniture, ect., because the Betadine is orange-colored and will easily stain. Doing this procedure outdoors is highly recommended. I would also recommend before applying the solution, is to put the squirt bottle under warm running tap water so it’s not so much of a shock to your dog when applied.

Heavy Breakfast Spells Wonder For Your Health

However, experts in weight loss insist on this one thing and that is never to skip breakfast. Although it may sound contradictory to what you believe, as skipping that first meal sounds like a way to avoid the additional intake of calories, there are reasons why having a heavy breakfast may actually spell wonders for your weight loss goals

Many people who want to lose weight try to pick which meals they feel they can skip in order to reduce their intake of calories, and breakfast and dinner are the two meals that most people skip. Some diets promote an after-six time frame, wherein no food is taken in after six, but with today’s busy lifestyles that go well into the night, few people are actually successful with that. Instead, more people feel they have more willpower to skip breakfast as they are usually in a hurry to get to work anyway so not having breakfast is usually much more convenient.

However, experts in weight loss insist on this one thing and that is never to skip breakfast. 2. When you skip breakfast your body makes up for the missing energy by preserving whatever energy it can hold in. This means your metabolism is actually put on hold. When you want to lose weight, this means that for those hours you are active but holding off a meal, your body prefers not to burn any calories, so you end up on the losing end.

3. Hormone-wise, studies show that when you first wake up, your body releases a hormone that gives you a craving for complex carbohydrates. This is the perfect time to stock up on this healthy food option, like whole-grain cereal, whole-wheat bread, or perhaps fruits. If that desire is not met, within a few hours your brain releases a hormone that makes you crave simple carbohydrates like sugar as well as high-fat food. Perhaps you have noticed that when you skip breakfast you have a greater temptation to eat sweets at lunch. This is road kill for any diet plan.

4. When you plan on having breakfast, you are not too hungry as to be mindless of what you eat. As such, you will be better equipped to make healthy food choices, such as reaching for sugar-free cereal or healthy oats instead of donuts early in the morning. As a result, you will also be less hungry come lunch time and you will also be in a similarly healthy frame of mind to pick more fruits and vegetables to put on your lunch tray.

5. When you go to work on a full stomach you are less likely to be distracted or unfocused, which reduces work-related stress for the entire morning. This means you will be less likely to binge eat at lunch after having a particularly harassed morning session. Instead, you will feel vibrant and alert and less inclined to look for comfort food.

These basic points should show you the importance that a heavy breakfast plays in losing weight naturally. Of course, if you have formed a habit of not having breakfast it might take a while to adjust to a new schedule, especially if you are frequently caught up for time. But with some advanced planning and as long as you stick with it for the first couple of weeks, you will definitely appreciate the changes it does to your daily routine. And eventually you will also start noticing an improvement in your weight, as the healthy eating habits will definitely have their repercussions before long.

The Advantages Of Morning Exercise For Weight Loss

Let’s face the facts: If you need to lose weight—and many of us are in this boat these days—you’re going to have to exercise. There’s just no way around it. Starving yourself is not the way to lose weight. You’ll just end up losing muscle mass, slowing down your metabolism and making it harder for you to ever get your health on track.

Making Exercise a Priority

If you want to be healthy, you’re going to work at it. And I don’t mean that you’re just going to get out a couple times a week and move around a little—sort of as a fun hobby. No, what I mean is that you’re going to have to exercise every day. And if you can’t do every day, you’re going to have to exercise 5-6 times per week. Any less will do you no good. That’s all there is to it.

Of course, the problem many people face is that there just never seems to be enough time for exercising. There’s kids, work, spouses, eating, and millions of other responsibilities. Exercise just seems to fall to the wayside. After all, exercising isn’t the easiest thing in the world, so it’s easy to set it aside in favor of other things.

What you’re going to do is this: You’re going to make exercise a top priority. No longer will you say, “I don’t have time to exercise, so I’m not going to.” Instead, if you must, you’re going to cross something—anything—else off your schedule. Make exercise #1, as it should be. I know it’s tempting to think of your career and family as your top priorities. That should remain true in a sense, but when you are healthy and physically fit, you put yourself in a much better position to further your career and take care of your family. Trust me, exercising pays off.

Fortunately, I know a trick: It’s morning exercise. Get into the habit of exercising first thing in the day and you’ll be all set for a happy, healthy and fit life.

Why Morning Exercise?

When you really look at the reasons to exercise in the morning it’s a no brainier. There are three main points:

1. First of all, exercising rouses your energy and metabolism. After a particularly strenuous bout of physical activity, it can take your body hours to return to its natural state of rest. Thus when you exercise in the evening it can actually interfere with your sleep. And when you sleep poorly all aspects of your life are affected. On the other hand, exercising in the morning gives you an energy boost and gets you ready to start your day with vigor.

2. Exercising in the morning prevents you from allowing other activities to push fitness aside. The longer you wait, the more likely it is that things will come up that make it more difficult for you to get your daily exercise. Just treat your morning fitness session like any other appointment. Set your alarm clock and don’t procrastinate. Get right up and go without fussing about it.

3. Finally, it’s no secret that exercising in the morning gives you a nice endorphin boost that puts you in a good mood to start your day. But there’s also the simple fact that when you exercise in the morning you can give yourself permission to feel good about yourself for the rest of the day. As you're going through your work day and then your evening responsibilities, you’ll be able to say, “I’ve done well today because I exercised.” The power of this feeling cannot be underestimated. Plus, when you get it out of the way early you can clear it from your mind rather than having that irksome voice in the back of your mind all day saying, “Don’t forget to exercise today!”

On a related note, there is one danger to exercising early: Later on, you may be tempted to reward yourself with a large meal or a sweet treat. Resist this. Instead, reward yourself once a week with a day off from exercise and, yes, maybe something special to eat.

Hello…You made it!

I am so thrilled that you’re here and I truly hope these natural remedies help each and every one of you. As I have mentioned, I know the horror a cluster headache sufferer goes through. It absolutely amazes me how little is known of this chronic illness, not only in the medical field but the general public. Most people consider a headache as an everyday problem that can be just annoying for a brief period of time, but can easily be treated with ibuprofen (aspirin). They really don’t understand how big a difference the cluster is to a standard headache or even a migraine.

What really disturbed me was how the people on YouTube were trying to capitalize on it, by selling some product or service. Now that you’re here, my sincere hope is my remedy will work for you too. You may be having an attack right now or be a friend or a family member searching for answers. All I can honestly say is this has worked for me every single time. When my husband started his research for a remedy, it wasn’t for a magic cure, he just knew the pain I was going through and needed to help in some way.

He spent weeks and long hours going over every thread in all forums, going to doctor and specialist sites, talking to other sufferers, etc. Everyone had different ideas for remedies and we were willing to try them all… and did! The only thing we didn’t want to try was another so called experimental drug, I must have tried dozens of new drugs in the past and one in particular was a nasal spray by the name of Staydol (I believe) that knocked me out like heroin or something of that nature and made me have a split personality, my husband described it as possessed!

So we tried all the organic remedies that were being offered, as long as I didn’t have to mix crazy things together like an eye of newt or a bat’s wing etc., I’d give it a try. Then one day he comes to me and says, “ I found another suggested remedy from someone in South America that seems (“too easy and silly”) to be true” At that moment I had just started to get the slight cramp which always started the episodes before the main attack. He said, “you’re not going to believe this but we have it in our refrigerator now”

I said “whatever it is please get it, I’m starting a cycle now”... he came back and handed me a can of Pepsi! (as in the soda beverage) he said, "drink this down as fast as you can” I said, “and then what?” he said, “that’s it, just chug down the can of Pepsi as fast as you can.” Well I thought he was joking but by this time the shadows were really starting to pound and it wasn’t going to be long until the full attack came. So I grabbed the can and chugged it down (I wasn’t able to do it at one time, it took a couple of swigs and burps).

Well at first nothing happened, but then all of the sudden instead of the full attack coming on, it started reversing back to a cramp (shadow) and I could feel it going away. All sufferers of clusters know the feeling when it is going away… because it’s euphoric and exhausting. Minutes later it was gone, I felt normal again but not convinced that chugging a can of Pepsi was really the answer or not. At that point we went and got a full supply of the soda, to fully test the theory and be prepared. That evening while sleeping the attack came and only awoke me after the full cluster (no shadow warning) so I ran to the kitchen and grabbed my Pepsi and within 15 minutes of pain… it subsided. At that time I still wasn’t sure if the soda made it go away? or if I only awoke towards the end of the cycle. The next day in the afternoon I felt a shadow coming, grabbed my Pepsi… chugged it down and once again the cluster never began to a full attack! At this point I was really starting to believe it was truly working, but still not convinced by any stretch of the imagination. To make a long story short, every single time a shadow came on through that (months) annual cycle, the Pepsi worked like magic… I mean every time! That remedy was the first time in 19 years of cluster attacks which the battle wasn’t nearly as bad and I was convinced that the Pepsi made it happen.

The following year when my cycle returned, I was ready and confident, the shadows came, I downed the Pepsi and it faded away. Not one time did the soda let me down, this lasted the entire month without one single full attack and after going through the horror for the past 20 years, I honestly couldn’t have been happier. It was at the end of that cycle that I knew for sure the Pepsi was my magic bullet without a doubt. Now I don’t know if it will work with other carbonated sodas or not. I personally never tried… and my personal preference had always been Coke:-) but I was told specifically to use Pepsi and it worked like a charm.

The following year, expecting the clusters to return as they always did… they miraculously never came at all! In fact to this day (knock on wood and God Bless) they have not come back! I do realize there are many different types of cluster headaches and honestly don’t know if the Pepsi remedy will work for all or not. One of the main reasons I didn’t put this out publicly was because back in the day I wanted so badly to share my new discovery with other CH sufferers A.S.A.P, I went on one of the forums and made a post about it many years ago. Thinking the people would be happy and thank me; they did the complete opposite and brutally attacked me and said I was either a snake oil salesman or a rep for Pepsi.

One after the other, slam, slam slam… I was devastated and couldn’t believe nobody even wanted to listen to my words. I mean for heaven sake, you didn’t have anything to lose for at least trying it. I think I got somewhere around 40 comments. When my husband saw the reaction to this, he was furious! He made a post telling everyone how ashamed they should be for attacking someone who knew their pain personally and was only trying to help. Well do you know every single person on that forum retracted their comments and they did apologize to me. They wanted me to come back to the forum and join them, but for me it was too late and I never did go back.

A few days later, my husband went on that forum and saw that my post was the talk of the forum… it appears a few of the sufferers took my advice and apparently it worked for them too. So I do know for a fact it does indeed work for others as well, why? I have no idea… it could have something to do with the carbonation to the brain in heavy intervals; like the oxygen effects the clusters, to be honest I couldn’t tell you. All I can say is, if you or someone you truly care about sufferers with these demon headaches PLEASE TRY THE PEPSI TRICK! Also if you could let me know how it worked out, we would really appreciate it and would love to post your comment on our site. It would show the people that we are honestly trying to help and they would be more inclined to heed my natural remedies. I would be so happy if I could help other people to not go through the agony of the clusters, then I’ll feel I’ve contributed in some small way.
